Solutions Engineering Manager

Mission:

As part of the engineering group of THALES Belgium, the Solutions Engineering Manager will be responsible to lead the technical execution of HF/RF projects.

The Solutions Engineering Manager is the technical project leader and coordinates all delivery activities of the projects, both internally and with subcontractors and customers. The projects focus mainly on the design of Radio Frequency high end products.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Manage engineering planning & costs;
  • Remaining organized and meeting deadlines;
  • Assure that IVVQ (Integration, Verification, Validation, Qualification) activities required to develop a solution allows TBE to achieve customer satisfaction;
  • Interface with the customer, for technical and non-technical related aspects of the solution;
  • Support customers in resolving technical problems and taking advantage of such opportunities;
  • Assure that the system and its sub-components (hardware and software design) are consistent and in line with the specifications and requested functionalities ;
  • Confirm that all requirements against which the solution/product has been designed are fulfilled ;
  • Ensuring all incidents and problems are monitored and resolved within the arranged SLA timescale;
  • Establish and maintain good lines of communication with customers and subcontractors;
  • Identify customer needs and oversee service delivery within the business context;
  • Assessing customer feedback, using creativity to persuade customers to improve and refine existing products
  • Write the Statement of Work (SOW) documents and support the subcontractor choice for needed subsystem acquisition.

Profile:

  • Engineering degree in HF/RF electronics;
  • Highly organized with an eye for details;
  • Process driven;
  • Able to work with varying levels of stakeholders;
  • At least 5 years relevant experience in technical product delivery management;
  • Exposure to multiple, diverse technical integrations, technologies and processing environments;
  • Passion for technologies, continuing education and problem solving;
  • Good written and verbal reasoning skills;
  • Able to demonstrate high personal standards of integrity, able to withstand pressure from others, being ethically robust and resilient to criticism:
  • Able to manage upward reporting and management of customer expectations in line with agreed solutions;
  • Fluent in French and English (professional capacity).
